Winter Wonderland Snowflakes Table Runner Pattern Judy Niemeyer

Judy and Brad Niemeyer designed the layout, instructions, and foundation papers for the Winter Wonderland Table Runner in 2011, in 2017 we recreated the blocks, changed the size, and loaded it into Quiltster, allowing it to become part of a series of patterns where 16” blocks can be mixed and matched to create a variety of layouts. The foundation papers finish into a 16” square block. A collection of fabrics called ‘Bohemian Blues’ designed by Judy and Judel Niemeyer with Timeless Treasures were selected to make the sample shown on the cover. A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used to assemble the units required to make this quilt. Note that this pattern is NOT compatible with the previous Winter Wonderland Table runner.  Additionally, the table runner layout is larger, so we have only included enough papers for one runner.  A number of options are available in the pattern for making this project in different ways, including pillows, smaller runners, and a table topper.  Watch for these layouts in Quiltster in the coming weeks, along other 16″ blocks that will be interchangeable and mixer chapters that will allow you tremendous flexibility in making this and other similar projects your own!
